Mustafa Mosque
Mustafa mosque is situated in Arionos square, next to the Ottoman baths (Yeni Hamam). It was built by sultan Mustafa in 1764–1765 AD. The mosque includes a large four-sided particularly high space, roofed in an original manner for Rhodes with a central dome, navicular vaults on its three sides, and two hemispheric vaults on the northern angles. The pyramidal external form of the building gives a heavy and particularly imposing impression.
On the square in front of the mosque there is the eight-sided basis of the fountain with a twelve-sided cistern.
Today the mosque operates as a ceremony hall of the Muslim community of Rhodes.
