Mosque of Ibrahim Pasha
The mosque of Ibrahim Pasha is situated in Platonos square, and it is the oldest mosque in Rhodes. It was built by sultan Suleyman in the years 1540–1541 AD. The mosque includes a large square space, roofed with a twelve-sided dome, and two successive porticoes along the north side. On the north-west side of the roof, on a multi-angular basis, there is the minaret. In the middle of the north square there is the eight-sided fountain.
Today the mosque operates as a place of worship of the Muslim community of Rhodes.
