National – Municipal Theater
Information
The two closed theatres of Rhodes are two historically preserved buildings of the italian occupation. Both of them are exemplary buildings, inspired by the “international style” architecture of the 1930s. The National theatre, called theatre “Teatro Giacomo Puccini” at the time, is one of the most imposing buildings, designed to host operas and conserts.
The Municipal theatre is part of the Town Hall building with a separate entrance.
Both of them host every kind of cultural events
