Castle of Kitala
Information
Remnants of an individual fortress, built on the area of village Emponas, on the south-west side of Attavyros, at the site Kitala. No direct information about the castle is mentioned. However, there is reference to the Kitala settlement in 1474. According to a 1474 decree, the residents of villages Kitala and Kapi had to be confined in the fortress of Salakos.
