Little deers

Information

At the deepest point of the Mandraki port, in front of the so-called Foro Italico (currently Evdomis Martiou Avenue) of the Italian Occupation, the Italians placed on the positions where according to the tradition lies Kolossos, two pillars from limestone, with the brass statues of the female wolf which raised Remus and Romulus, founders of Rome, and the deer, the symbol of Rhodes. After liberation, the female wolf was replaced by the female deer.
