AGIA TRIADA (DOLAPLI CAMI)

Information

    It is situated on Leonidou Rodiou square in the Jewish district. It is a free cruciform temple with a dome and preserved frescoes on its western part, dating back to the 15th to the 16th century AD, which belong to the elitist tendency of Rhodian painting, and are preserved today patchily, such as the Community of the Apostles and the Concelebrating Hierarchs, the representation of the Assumption and the Utmost Humiliation.
    During the Ottoman times, it was converted into a Muslim temple, known by the name Dolapli mosque.
    The temple has been restored by the Ministry of Culture.
