Castle of Asclepius
Information
The Castle is located on a two hundred and fifty meters high hill, in the area of the village Asclepio.
It was built in the 15th century in two phases. On the first phase, the square tower was fortified and on the second phase, the tower on the northwest corner was repaired.
Its position enabled supervision of a large part of the coastline and the inland roads.
Around the castle there is an external circumferential wall, 130 – 150 centimeters thick.
In the interior of the fortification there are two tanks and ruins of undetermined buildings.
