Fountain Mosque
The fountain mosque is on a floor at Ippokratous square. At about the same position during the Knights’ Period was the church of Saint Sebastian. It was constructed in 1888 on a preexisting mosque built by Sinan Bey, possibly in the 16th century. It has an octagonal outline with thin stone walls, a delicate artistic decoration on the inside, and it is covered by a dome of a diameter of 9.70 meters.
The monument is fully restored by the Ministry of Culture
