Agia Paraskevi
Information
The church of Agia Paraskevi belongs to the architectural type of free cross with a dome, and it dates back to late 15th or early 16th century. The three sides of the cross have the same length, except for the eastern one, which is shorter, and are covered by pointed arches. On the intersection of the vaults there is a dome with a twelve-sided tympanum, where four windows are opened according to the axes of the monument. The particularly tended isodomic masonry of the church, which appears in some knight buildings of the same period in Rhodes, is remarkable. On the north edge of the temple there was a subterranean burial crypt.
During the Turkish Occupation, the monument operated as a mosque under the name Takeci Cami.
